Welcome to The Gateway Getaway — a stylish and serene 850 sq ft retreat perched above a detached garage, right next door to its sister property, The Gateway House. Nestled among the trees with stunning views of Tiger Mountain and vibrant sunrise skies, this peaceful escape is the perfect spot to rest, reset, and recharge between your adventures. Inside, the full-size kitchen boasts high-end stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with all the essentials—from cookware to utensils—making it easy to whip up your favorite meals. A Nespresso machine with complimentary pods invites you to start your mornings right, while the kitchen bar offers a cozy perch for coffee chats, casual work, or keeping the cook company. You’ll also find a handpicked selection of local wines available for purchase—cheers! The dining area comfortably seats four for shared meals or game nights. In the living room, enjoy soaring vaulted ceilings, a sleek modern fireplace, and a plush sofa with cozy chairs—perfect for lounging, reading, or streaming your favorite shows. (Netflix, Hulu Live, Disney+, Paramount+, and Amazon Prime are all included.) The bathroom features spa-like touches including heated tile floors, a bath/shower combo, and endless hot water courtesy of a tankless heater. You'll also be treated to plush towels, a hairdryer, and premium toiletries. Head up to the loft to find a luxurious king-size Casper mattress with buttery-soft linens, along with a twin pull-out bed for an additional guest. Step outside to grill on your private deck, or unwind at the bistro set nestled at the base of the stairs. Adventure is always nearby—trailheads for hiking and biking are just a 5-minute walk (or 2-minute ride) away. Explore historic downtown Issaquah with a scenic 15-minute walk along the Rainier Trail or a quick 3-minute drive. Other Details to Note
Pets: The Getaway welcomes friendly and well behaved dogs only for an additional fee. The backyard is fully fenced for dogs. Pets are not allowed on the bed or any furniture (we kindly ask you not to book please if your dog is unable to stay off the furniture). Your dog needs to be pet and child friendly. Kids: The getaway is not appropriate for children 6 months-5 years old due to open railings and a fireplace. Specific requests will be considered but are not guaranteed. Shared Property: The Getaway is connected and on the same property as the Gateway House. You will share the back patio amenities with those guests but have separate entrances and spaces. Activity planning: There are extensive bike and hiking trails that can be accessed within minutes of the Gateway Getaway's driveway. As a lifelong Issaquah resident, my family and I can help you design the perfect itinerary, whether it be hiking, mountain biking, brewery hopping, concert going or simply relaxing. We're proud of our Issaquah community and look forward to sharing some of it with you. No smoking/vaping anywhere on the property. Guests are responsible for cleaning the BBQ grill after use. Please run the burners for several minutes and clean the grill once finished. Failure to make a reasonable effort to clean the grill will result in a $25 cleaning fee. A $50 fee will be charged if a deep clean is required, as determined by our cleaning team. For stays longer than 28 days, our standard procedure includes: - Signed lease agreement - Background check - Refundable security deposit: $1,500 Additional requirements: - Deep cleaning fee: $50 - Regular cleaning fee: Required every 30 days Pet Policy: We love hosting your furry companions! To help maintain the cleanliness and comfort of our space for all guests, a pet fee will apply based on the length of your stay: 7–14 Days: $200 for 1 pet 14–30 Days: $350 for 1 pet, $500 for 2 pets 30+ Days: $500 for 1 pet, $750 for 2 pets Please let us know in advance if you’ll be bringing a pet so we can prepare the space accordingly. Thank you for helping us keep our home welcoming, pet-friendly, and well cared for! Garage Storage Add-On: Need extra space during your stay? Guests have the option to rent secure garage storage for luggage, bikes, or gear at $20 per day. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to add this to your reservation so we can prepare the space for you. Additional Guests: Each additional guest beyond the standard occupancy is $50 per guest, per stay. Left Items: Before you leave, we kindly ask that you double-check for any personal items. Please note that if items are left behind, a $25 service fee plus shipping costs will apply to have them returned to you. We want every stay to be smooth and enjoyable.
